So Anyone Else looking to do a Turbo Charger on a 1.8L Etec II. Looks like it might be a descent car to add a turbo Charger? And I am wonder how big of a turbo I should run on this T-35/45?

Which turbo to use will depend on what kind of power you want to make with it. Turbocharging it would be the easy part, it's fooling the computer to think it doesn't have a turbo and supplying more fuel that becomes the difficult part.

Aaaa. That might not be to hard. Just alot reading, The computer on it seem to be a pretty simple still one. I haven't gotten to really look into doing it. It will be a few years before I want to try it. Do to the warranty of it. But I am going to be doing some odd work with a 98 Sunbird. its a 2.0L. I just have to get that PCM modular replaced.

It's a cool idea, but those Daewoo engines have a hard enough time holding together stock don't they? Hope they don't still have timing belts

well you know there is another option
i need to go back thru some things to find it, but while i was walking thru SEMA last year in Vegas there was a great kit. it adds injectors at the throttle body. when the car is in boost it will ingage the added injectors and while normal driving it will run and have the same fuel useage as when it was N/A!!!!
it was a bad ass idea! let me know if you would like to look into this type of kit.

Yea. I am a far cry from doing the turbo to it at this point. Just looking into a future mod'z for this. I was wonder where I seen that engine before it was in a daewoo. Well I am going to wait till the warrenty will be gone before I do any mod's to it. I am going to be doing some the turbo mod's to my 98 sunfire.

a 5th injector setup would be an easy way of making some more power with a simple turbo setup. I would imagine you could wire up a Megasquirt to run in parallel with the factory ECU also. I'm not horribly familiar with the Etec in the Aveo, but by looking at some of the Daewoo forums out there ( there have to be a few right?) you should be able to discern from what others are doing, what you should do with the car as far as engine management goes

Right now. Just waiting out the warrenty. LOL.. I am going to be doing a 98 Sunfire with a 2.2L, I am thinking I would be better to play around doing the turbo to it first and then once I have figured out that. I will work my way to doing the turbo to the Aveo. So what would be a good turbo to get doing this? I have a supplier in china I can get some of these Garret T-35/45 and some others as well.

Would a Fuel Cut Defender help tricking the ECU?

I'm used to Subies so maybe this is stupid... But maybe someone else has an idea?

I'd figure out the turbo setup on the Sunfire's 2.2 (ecotec I presume also?), make IT run good and reliable, then swap it into the Aveo after the warranty expires. That's just me though. I'm all about seeing some unusual engine/car combos.
