I'm sure there will be some attempts at flaming noobs like on any board. There are forum rules for the noobs AND for established users regarding commonly asked questons and "flaming" which I will appoint moderators to keep an eye out for once the board gets larger. This forum is for turbo owners that can conduct themselves in a mature manner and the members are the ones that represent the community. If there is someone making us look bad and not following the forum rules and causing nothing but truble, they will be delt with.

I hate to see people chased off because they are noobs. I've seen it before, one post and they never come back. Saying use the search feature is fine when said with tact.

They will of course receive a warning with a proper explanation and/or direction to the information area or procedure before posting a general question. Everyone is a noob at one point. I've posted my share of stupid questions before hitting the "Search" button. I know it's somewhat difficult to find the right info especially when a board sees a lot of traffic.

There will be noobs, and there will be guys who ask "stupid" questions. Thats life, some just want to see their name up on the board and others want to know answers to their "stupid" questions. Thats the evil of having a forum with alot of users. The plus is there would be a plethora of knowledge about the world of cars and turbos. Moderators will do there job to sift but ultimately I think it is a good trade. Plus its always good fun to talk alittle smack with some pact and joke around....that makes a good "technical" forum and thats why I am trying to find new users with knowledge.

An easy way to get some people is hit up the myspace and similar websites. Everyone has friends and some of those friends like cars. Invite them to check the site out and see if they like what they see. Thats how I got here.
