A 3 inch wont sound like a whistle on a turbo charged car, the turbo acts as a resonator/muffler. It will sound good, you just need to select the right muffler and resonator combo. In fact if ya don't mind some some a really good high flow resonator with out a muffler or cat would sound awesome, I've heard both a TT and an SRT4 with 3 inch setups like that and they sounded sick, real deep. Not ricey at all.
