My brother and I had an 83 Thunderbird Turbo coupe and I've been in love ever since he put an intercooler and boost controller on it. I love the rush of full boost!

I have spent thousands $$ on a 5.0 V8 in n/a form..
Then imported a Jap spec Subaru WRX through N.Z to here, Australia in 2000 ..
It's been such a GOOD little car. I though to myself. Wouldn't well built Dart block 3.25 stroker crank with 4.125 bore go well?? So we built up the std engine with VG 300T bone yard turbo's to 330 rwkw.. Then fitted the Dart block and some Precision T3/4 hybrids..
Now I have 483 rwkw [650 rwhp] at 15 Lb boost.. Power and torque is much cheaper and FAR easier to drive than a CRANKY came up n/a engine, that attracts too much attention...I now have two Subaru Wrx [07 and 95] 360ci turbo Ford Falcon and converted my son's 6 cylinder t04Z sohc 6 which has 312 rwkw and runs high 11's...
I think I'm into turbo's.. I also have a forged 1UZ turbo, powerglide etc being fitted into an old Mustang shape Celica RA28 model. Track only, roll cage, 4 link etc.. Most the work done by myself and friends..Graeme... To Aust, my car is featured in May/ June Zoom car mag...

I love boost, no matter how beastly large displacement is there's nothing quite like the onset of full boost that makes you go "dang, a 4-cyl just belted me into the back of the seat like that!?" So I got a beefed up 95 Tsi that gets the job done for a reasonable price, pump gas and 25mpg(if I can keep my foot out of it)

I'm a turbo owner because I wanted more power. Unfortunately, my Dodge Avenger came with the V6 6G73 SOHC, which is pretty slow and I wanted more power from my Avenger. That wasn't going to happen with the 6g73 though. Fortunately, the Avenger is the Mitsubishi Eclipse's cousin. That meant that the 4g63t could be swapped in there and it was, to include the AWD drivetrain. I've had this swap done since Dec. of 05 and I'm loving it. This is my first turbo motor and AWD and I can never go back to 2wd, boost is just too addicting.

Here's some pics from our garage here.

It all started with my first 87 Grand National in '90 She was a sweet ride, fast reliable, and a good family car to boot. Well in '99 I got locked out and spent lots of money on lawyers for a divorce. I had to loose something and the GN was one and the other a 75 vette which I hated. But I kept 2 63 split window corvette coupes, a v8 59 MG, A 69 and a 63 Corvette. It wasnt long till I found my current baby a bone stock at the time 27k miles car needing some paint as they all do. Finally got her paid off and mostly have been working on upgrades to get the point of really making some power. Trying to decide what to do next, Injectors, Converter, Turbo etc. I love the way turbos roll on the power and always leave you on the edge of out of control if they are done right. "dont ever pour on the power around courners'. Its a hell of a ride to work and back in the summer. She still needs paint but "lucifer is all mine"

I actually like turbo diesels but was tired of seeing all these hondas that sound like my lawn tractor on steriods so I went and found a 88 Starion ESI-R car. Have never played with foriegn turbo car before but have to say for 20+ year old car this thing moves and handels like a BMW. Still dont like the hondas very much but might being swayed diffrently.
